Drama

By engaging yourself in drama you will get more awareness of how you are sending and receiving signals. In this Folk High School Class – Drama – you will get an opportunity to improve your performance and communication skills, try to be on a stage, and have a lot of fun.

We will be doing many different drama games, verbal and non-verbal improvisations, mask work, song, dance, and sketches. We will do small plays and presentations, creating stories. We will work in groups, be silly and have fun. You do not need to have any drama experience.

Throughout the term we will work on small readings, monologues and plays which we will perform in class. This class is focused primarily on your own development and on building a trusting environment for self-expression. In the latter part we will focus more on theatre production and preparing to perform for the rest of the school.
