IPC is once again teaming up with Young Europe is Voting. We want to empower and encourage the European youth before the upcoming European Parliament election. Therefore, we have teamed up with 5 other Folk High Schools and the Danish civil society organization Nyt Europa (meaning New Europe) to bring young people across Europe together for a week of learning, cultural exchange, community, innovation, and initiative.
Throughout the week the young Europeans will delve into European history and culture and collectively articulate their hopes and desires for how our shared European future should unfold. The project offers a unique opportunity to get a pan-European network with the potential to impact the political landscape in Europe.
IPC will host a big group of the participants and some of the classes here will also take part in the events. We are looking forward to an interesting week!
Young Europe is Voting is a week for 200 Europeans aged 18-30 to meet in Denmark to learn, debate, and propose their wishes for politicians before the European Parliament election in June 2024. 60 Young Europeans in groups of 10 will visit 6 Danish Folk High Schools and join the students at the schools. Together they will dive into European history and identify challenges and solutions.
Registration is now open, participation is free (including an interrail card for transportation), and it’s first-come, first-served. So, if you’re between 18 and 30 years old and would like to spend a week in the company of other youths, learning about and expressing desires for the European present and future, then read more and sign up here! You must live in Europe – but you don’t have to be an EU citizen to participate.
