Dear friends of IPC,

The International People’s College in Helsingør has a new principal, Nelima Lassen, who has taken over from Søren Launbjerg. Please attend the reception to mark the occasion and meet Nelima Lassen and Søren Launbjerg on

Thursday the 30th. of May from 3 – 5 p.m.

Søren Launbjerg has worked at IPC for more than twenty years, the first years as a teacher mainly teaching drama, music, and choir, and from 2009 as our principal. While Søren Launbjerg was principal we experienced the difficult years with Covid-19, planned and implemented the celebrations of the school’s first 100 years as well as the inauguration of the new UN Hall, where Søren daily spent hours at the construction site. Furthermore, we have annually had more than 100 students for the last eight years.

We employed a very competent vice-principal in 2023. She took over temporarily as principal in January this year, applied for the position as principal when it was advertised, and was interviewed. Nelima Lassen has now taken over as permanent principal. Nelima Lassen comes to IPC from the Danish Red Cross, where she held the position as Head of the Africa Region. She has a long international experience being posted to Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We look forward to working with her.
