Movies can be a great part of our lives. Many hours dedicated to adventures, romances, thrillers and much more, will have a certain impact on us and how we see the world.
In this Folk High School World Cinema Class you will learn how to break down and analyze movies. Understand the voice of an author throughout his/her movies and career. You will also learn to organize movies in families that share similar characteristics which will help you to select, in a more critical way, what you will see and how is it affecting you.
We will watch movies, or excerpts of movies, and discuss its meaning and how it fits in contemporary cinema. We will look at movie trends and how socio-political movements are interconnected with the themes of movies produced.
