Tabletop games include any game usually played with people around a table, without any devices and other modern world distractions that prevent us from having valuable face-to-face interaction. Board games, card games, tile laying, puzzle solving, role-playing or cooperative games.
Studies have shown that playing tabletop games reduces stress, makes you smarter and more empathic towards others. We want to use this opportunity to stimulate your social skills, your brain and creativity in new ways.
In Folk High School Tabletop Gaming Class we organize in groups and play together, usually, one game per class. We debrief and reflect upon what we learn from such game, how we can improve on the game design and how it is developing our critical thinking.
