A film production is a process were creativity and passion meets teamwork. As one of the most sophisticated art forms, movies are a platform to express ideas very effectively. Todays technology has made it possible for anyone to produce and complete a movie.
In this Folk High School Moviemaking Class, we will simulate a small production company with rotating jobs between students. Mainly you will learn the ‘behind the scenes’ of movie production – what are the tasks, opportunities and what each job requires.
We will discuss project ideas from the students, we do planning and pre-production of projects and we organize in teams to implement. Some students focus on their acting skills, others learn new tools operating the cameras, sound and lights. Usually it results in a short film of 2-3 minutes per class.
