Every single human being has something that they are passionate about, something they love that they want to share with the world. Founded on the idea of the TED conference, ‘Speak Out IPC’ seeks to effectively bring what is on our hearts and minds out and in to the hearts and minds of others. Through a personal project as well as a series of small fun events organized for the whole school we seek to engage and fire up ourselves and those around us.
In this Folk High School ‘Speak Out IPC’ Class, you learn how to create, organize and host events for yourself and for others with the aim of making a difference. Research skills, in addition to time management, effective advertising and incredible leadership skills are just some of the tools that you gain in this class, where you attempt to make the dreams in your head a reality in the world.
We work with individual and group projects to make a difference in the world around us, from organizing protests, making presentations, collaborative art projects to having deep conversations.
