The International People's College in cooperation with the
Danish Fencing Association and the local
Fencing Club Amleth offers a one-week course in fencing for all those who want to explore and improve their fencing skills.

The course is going to be led by an
international fencing champion with experience in teaching fencing. That is why the main
working language of the course is going to be English.
During daytime we’ll generally focus on the
active practice of the fencing sport by physical exercise, technical and tactical training, match and competition and individual classes. There will also be an excursion to the Kronborg Castle – the literary location of one of the most wold-renowned fencing duels between Hamlet and Laertes.
Evenings will give us the
opportunity to set fencing into a broader perspective and to enjoy our time together. We might explore themes such as sport injuries (their treatment and prevention), training plans and sports psychology. Other topics might include fencing history, stage fencing, analysis of top fencers etc.

At the International People’s College you’ll be staying in
single or double rooms. During the day, you will enjoy
three tasty meals from our multicultural kitchen. On Friday we are going to organize a big
farewell party together with participants from other courses that are held paralell to the fencing course where there will be small shows, dance and music.
The course is aimed at both Danish and international fencers at practice, talent and pre-elite levels who are at least 17 years old. . It is therefore not an introduction course but a course focusing on improving ones skills and knowledge within cord fencing. We expect all participants to bring their own
fencing equipment.
If you wish to spend your holiday in an active way and learn more about your sport together with other fencers in fantastic historical surroundings, then come and join us!
