Banks and Money
Banking hours in Denmark are usually from 10 a.m. ?4 p.m. all weekdays. Banks are closed in the weekends. Please note that banks have different charges when you exchange money. In Copenhagen you will find a FOREX exchange, which is free of any charges.
If you need extra money while you are in Denmark, the cheapest and easiest way is to open a bank account (this can only be done if you are staying for more than 12 weeks and your residence permit is in order upon arrival). It is free of charge to open a bank account in Denmark.
Another and very easy way is to bring a VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS or MASTER card with you as you can withdraw money from any cash dispenser in Denmark with the above mentioned cards.
