The International People´s College was founded in 1921 by Peter Manniche, who - in the ashes of the First World War - created the idea of a Folk High School for students and staff from all over the world. The purpose was to promote international and intercultural understanding and to contribute to a more peaceful world. Since then young people over the age of 18 from all continents, countries and cultures of the world have had the opportunity to get together, study and live in mutual respect under the same roof in Helsingør, Denmark.
